It has been a busy start to 2009 for 5/6B!

In HSIE this term we have been studying Australian Values and Identities. Within this topic we have created several beautiful artworks.

The first was a collage. We used magazines and cut out pictures that we thought represented Australia. We found a lot of pictures of Steve Irwin!

The second Artwork was an Aboriginal Dot Painting. We talked about different Aboriginal symbols and used them in our dot paintings.

Our latest artwork is a painting by Margaret Preston. They look beautiful!

In Science we have been making working models. We have conducted experiments to learn about friction, force, pulleys and levers. For homework we have made some highly sophisticated models such as Trebuchets, bridges that move and lifts!

More Models - This is a catapult!
