Welcome to 3/4K

In our class we have 10 Year 3 students and 14 Year 4 students and we have all settled in to our new class very well.  We have made new friends and have enjoyed working with our new friends in activities including the one shown in the photo.

This photograph shows our first experiment  we did to test the strength of a variety of paper towels.

Our H.S.I.E. topic is "Who Will Buy?"

In this subject we have interviewed our parents and grandparents to compare shopping in the present day to shopping in years gone by.  We went for an excursion to the local Fresh Deli Market to find out about all the processes that are involved in running our local fruit and vegetable shop.

One of our favourite lessons was the processing line we developed to make lolly bags.  Next we are going to sell our own products  (paper aeroplanes) that we have made from scratch to other students.

One of the really good things about this school is that we care about others in need.  This photograph shows some of the funds that were raised early on in the year for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

Every year each class has a turn at raising funds to support a World Vision child who is supported by our school.  To complement our HSIE topic, each Stage 2 class has developed and made a product that will be sold.  We have made the orange and blue spotted "Nakamura Lock", the green "Pteroplane" and the camouflaged "Spy Plane."  Look out Abbotsford, a paper plane is coming for you.
