The Talking and Listening strand of the English Key Learning Area provides opportunities for all students to improve their skills. Regular drama activities also provide opportunities for role play and varied speaking activities. Each class presents a K-6 assembly through the year where class members act as comperes of the class assembly presentation. Year 3-6 students participate in the annual Public Speaking Competition with 4 students selected to represent the school in zone, regional and state competitions after class and school eliminations. These competitions are based on a prepared speech and an unseen topic with 10 minutes preparation time.
